About HRPF – SHUJAA

HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION FRONT (HRPF – SHUJAA)
FRONT DE PROTECTION DES DROITS DE L’HOMME
“No Rights, no Life, Pas de droits, pas de vie”

About Us and Vision

We are Congolese brought together by a common vision, with the determination to do all it takes to make
the ideals of democracy, security, and human rights a reality in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We believe that human rights are the basic rights and freedoms to which everyone is entitled based on their common humanity,
including civil and political rights, and economic, social, and cultural rights.

We promote and protect human rights, sustainable development, peace, social equity, and the reduction of social inequalities.
We are convinced that there can be no development without peace, and that development for Congolese citizens remains a myth
without peace and respect for human rights.

Our Mission

Striving to ensure that there is a rule of law in the DRC and sustainable development that benefits every Congolese citizen,
and is entitled based on his or her common humanity.

Why Now

  • Human rights principles are not respected in the DRC, and endless conflicts continue to compromise sustainable development.
  • The benefits of economic development remain confined to a limited number of Congolese, while many citizens are excluded from
    decision-making in national socio-economic planning.
  • We have decided to create a political party named: Human Rights Protection Front (HRPF – SUJAA).

Pillars of Sustainable Peace in the DRC

  1. Re-establish unity among Congolese, and make that unity the foundation for peace and development.
  2. Protect the human rights of all citizens and ensure active, unhindered participation in decision-making and policy formulation
    across socio-economic development and culture.
  3. Defend the sovereignty of the country and ensure the security of people and property.
  4. Uphold the rule of law. We believe that ruling a country without law is potentially criminal.
  5. Eliminate corruption, favoritism, and embezzlement of national resources.

Human Rights and Rule of Law for Development

The pillars of human rights and the rule of law will enable sustainable development that benefits all:

  • Right to life and freedom of expression
  • Quality education as an instrument of human rights and justice, supporting harmonious development and social cohesion
  • Public health accessible to all as a foundation for human rights and sustainable development
  • Fair justice for all, with accountability for everyone
